
Customer Website Registration & Information Pack
Before we can go ahead and put your website online and even before we start bolting things together we really need to know about you or your business. We use your words on your website as you know your business far better than anyone else.
The following is our customer registration and information guide that describes what we need from you in order to get started. We have a blank template for the following questionnaire which you can download here.
Please complete all sections unless they simply don’t apply to you of course!. Once completed simply attach it to our contact us form to send it to us.
1) Your Name or Business Name:
This is the name of you business of your name that you would like to appear on the website and will also be used to search engine optimisation along with directory listings on the Internet.
2) Your Contact Details:
Typically your office phone, fax, and sales numbers along with your mailing address and / or POBOX addresses. Also if you already have a domain name your customer contact email address.
3) Business Hours:
The hours your business is available for your customers to contact you via phone or shop / business opening hours.
4) You Business Logo and Slogan:
If you already have a business logo and slogan please attach it to the email you send to us. The bigger (Resolution, i.e. 1000 x 1000 pixels) the digital image of your logo the better it will be displayed on your website. If you don’t have a logo or slogan we could help you out here.
5) About Your Business:
As much information you can provide about your business the better it will be for us to help you rank higher on search engines and ultimately drive more traffic to your website. We also use this information within the website such as pages that tell your customers who you are and what you do.
6) Information About Your Products or Services:
Like the “about your business”, but an expansion on specific products or services you offer. For example if you are a building company you might offer services such as extensions, conservatories, landscaping etc.. Please provide us with as much information as possible.
7) Portfolios and Previous Work:
It’s always nice to tell people about what you have done in the past and provide examples of the work you have carried out. It also helps potential customers when they make a decision on ether to use you or someone else.
8) Why Use You?
What stands out about the business you run that your competitors don’t offer? Maybe you simply provide a superior product or service, or maybe you offer discounts on bulk purchases. Maybe you go above and beyond what the customer expects from the typical business or services company that are like you.
9) Who are your competitors?
This will be useful for us to figure out Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and also figuring out how to attract your customers from your market segment.
10) Who are you customers?
We need to know who your customers are to make sure we capture the right people to your website and create a layout that suites those users.
11) Marketing Material:
If you have any existing marketing material we would really appreciate you sending it to us so we can incorporate your style and branding in to your website. If you use an external marketing company or printing house please provide us their contact details if you are happy for us to liaise directly with them.
12) Photos and Media:
As many photos and media as you can provide, documents about your business, or examples of previous work, maybe even videos. Anything that will help us make your website look like the bees knees! We can use almost any file format so don’t be shy!
13) Style, Look and Feel, and usability:
How would you like your website to look? Are you looking for a fun and funky design, clean and crisp, corporate and structured, or maybe minimalist. Please describe your thoughts to us. If you have seen other websites that you like let us know so we can gauge what you are looking for.
14) Contact Us:
Do you want customers to contact you directly from the website via an online form rather than them manually sending an email to you. If so, what details do you require from your customers. Basic information might include their name, address, and contact details but is their anything else you need to know about them?
15) Price Lists, Service Manuals, Guides, and Documents:
Anything else that could help us expand you website content and build upon the knowledge you hold about you or your company. If you have material you would like your customer to be able to download such as a PDF or Word document please make sure you send them to us.
16) Terms & Conditions:
If you have any documents that describe your Terms & Conditions or any other documents and information that your customers need to be aware of please provide them to us.
